Where does the event take place?
Our main event venue is Pacific Crest Middle School, 3030 NW Elwood Ln, Bend, OR. All routes begin and end at PCMS.
Is there parking available at the event venue?
There is ample parking available at the venue. Please observe all relevant parking laws if you park on the street.
What if I cannot make it to packet pick up?
You can pick up your packet prior to the event. Please be sure and arrive at least 30 minutes before your event start time if you need to pick up your packet.
Can I register the day of the event?
Yes, please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the event start time in order to get registered.
Can I run wearing ear buds?
We discourage anything that may distract you or keep you from hearing other participants or cars. This includes cell phones. This run is about being together. Enjoy being unplugged!
Is this a timed event?
The 5K was started as a non-competitive event, and we welcome all to participate and enjoy the course at their own pace!
Can I bring my dog?
While we know many people run with their dog, we have to ask that you leave your furry loved one at home. Thank you for understanding.
Can I run the course ahead of the event?
Because portions of the route are on private property, you cannot access the entire route prior to the event. That is one more thing that makes this a truly unique course!
I’m from out of town – can I camp at the venue? Where can I stay?
Camping is not permitted at the venue. For a great resource in finding places to stay, check out Visit Bend.
How can my “non-running” friends and family members participate?
Tour des Chutes features a number of cycling routes that may be the perfect event for the non-run/walker. We also rely on over 100 volunteers every year to make this event happen. The most significant need is in preparing the venue on July 12, and then during the event day on July 13. See our Volunteer page for more details!
I’d like to support Tour des Chutes but cannot participate in the event. Is there anything else I can do?
Yes! We have many volunteer opportunities before the event that you can help with. Additionally, you can make a donation directly to Tour des Chutes. Visit our donation page for more details.
Is my registration fee tax deductible?
Your entry fee may not be 100% tax deductible. Check with your accountant.
