Where does the event take place?
The event takes place in Bend, OR, and the last few years has been in and around Pacific Crest Middle School for the start and finish. We will update this once permits are in place for our 2022 event!
Is there parking available at the event venue?
There will be no parking allowed at the event venue, as part of the parking lot will be used for our start and finish area, and the other must remain open and unabated for other local businesses. There is ample parking around the venue along the street and at the adjacent school properties.
What if I cannot make it to packet pick up?
You can pick up your packet prior to the event. Please be sure and arrive at least 30 minutes before your event start time if you need to pick up your packet.
Can I register the day of the event?
The 2022 event will have a cap on how many people can participate. If we have not met that cap by event day, you can register then. Keep an eye on our website for updates on registration!
Can we ride a tandem, 3-wheeler, or pull our kids in a “pull-along”?
Yes! It is still required for each participant to register for insurance and liability purposes.
Are electric bikes allowed?
Yes! Electric bikes are allowed on Tour des Chutes courses. Please no scooters.
Can I ride wearing ear buds?
We discourage anything that may distract you or keep you from hearing other participants or cars. This includes cell phones. This ride is about being together. Enjoy being unplugged!
I’m from out of town – can I camp at the venue? Where can I stay?
Camping is not permitted at the venue. For a great resource in finding places to stay, check out Visit Bend.
How can my “non-cycling” friends and family members participate?
Tour des Chutes relies on over 100 volunteers every year to make this event happen. Check out our volunteer page for more details!
I’d like to support Tour des Chutes but cannot participate in the event. Is there anything else I can do?
Yes! We have many volunteer opportunities before the event that you can help with. Additionally, you can make a donation directly to Tour des Chutes. Visit our donation page for more details.
Is my registration fee tax deductible?
Your entry fee may not be 100% tax deductible. Check with your accountant.
